Reform synagogue in the Syosset/Oyster Bay area, seeks friendly, energetic teachers for engaging Hebrew/Judaic studies. Classes meet on-site with social distancing in place, along with health and safety protocols.

Should the need arise, classes will move to remote learning.

An ideal candidate for our warm and nurturing environment:
• Has experience as a secular and/or religious school teacher
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and passion about teaching Jewish education
• Understands the importance of reaching different learning styles and being flexible
• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills
• Recognizes the importance of utilizing hands-on Hebrew and Judaic lessons
• Is knowledgeable about teaching and chanting prayers
• Experience using Zoom and/or Google Meet and Google Classroom (if we need to move to remote learning) and knows how to provide innovative experiences for students through remote learning

Positions available:
Grades 3rd- 6th meeting on Mondays or Thursdays 4:00-6:00pm; 6:15-8:15pm
